ABSOLARE was The BEST SOUND OF SHOW (COST NO OBJECT) for THE ABSOLUTE SOUND

BEST SOUND OF SHOW for AV SHOWROOMS

JONATHAN VALIN – THE ABSOLUTE SOUND

Speaking of great hi-fi’s, Andy Payor’s $102k, four-driver, four-way Rockport Altair II driven by Absolare electronics and sourced by a Kronos turntable sounded abs fab on piano and standup bass. With dark, rich, dense tone color, superb resolution, extraordinarily realistic transient attack, and great definition in the low end, the Altair II produced the most meltingly beautiful piano sound I heard at the show—simply magical reproduction of the piano’s action and the pianist’s touch, thanks to what must be the sweetest beryllium tweeter extant. Another BOS contender, both for realism and musicality, despite the overall darkness of its balance when driven by Absolare’s electronics.

JULIE MULLINS – THE ABSOLUTE SOUND:

A pleasing balance seemed to be struck between rich realism and warm, engaging musicality. The presentation was clean, easygoing, unabashed pure aural delight. With such powerful immediacy it felt like nothing was standing between you and the music—the system succeeds in performing a wonderful disappearing act. I only wish I could have returned to listen longer.

For HIFIPIG magazine ABSOLARE  show an absolutely stunning sound.:

Absolare were showing off their new integrated amp that uses a tube input stage matched with a solid state output and with the Rockport Technologies Altair loudspeakers and the Kronos Pro turntable it made for an absolutely stunning sound.

Best Sound (Cost no Object)

The best sounds I heard in Munich were Rockport Altair II speakers driven by Absolare’s new Passion integrated amplifier and sourced by a Kronos turntable in the Absolare room, the Gryphon Kodo loudspeaker with all-Gryphon amplification and sources, MartinLogan Neoliths driven by Constellation electronics, and the Magico M-Pro with Soulution electronics supported by Critical Mass Systems racks.

Absolare Passion Integrated Amplifier Driving Rockport Altair 2 Speakers

The brand-new Absolare Passion integrated amplifier is a hybrid design with a pure SET tube preamp section and a solid-state dual-mono amplifier section. It premiered in a gorgeous-sounding demo with the Absolare Passion phonostage ($33.5k), Rockport Altair V2 loudspeakers, and a Kronos Limited Edition Pro turntable. A pleasing balance seemed to be struck between rich realism and warm, engaging musicality. The presentation was clean, easygoing, unabashed pure aural delight. With such powerful immediacy it felt like nothing was standing between you and the music—the system succeeds in performing a wonderful disappearing act.
